Detectives having crises upon discovering that their family members are involved in crime seem to be becoming a new trend.

The latest to be thrown into the development pool is Black And Blue, written by Jimmy Cummings and Brad Sohn. Doom director Andrzej Bartkowiak has apparently been let out of filmmaker prison following the game adaptation flop and will call the shots.

The plot finds a Boston police ‘tec trying to stop a rising drug war between entrenched Irish mobsters and a fresh group of young thugs. But then – and here’s your theme surfacing – he discovers that some of his own family are involved.
