Ana And The Rampling

Charlotte Rampling is negotiating to join the next film from Sex And Lucia’s Julio Medem.

Caotica Ana is another experimental film from the Spanish helmer, which features a woman (newcomer Manuela Velles) from the age of 18 to 22, who is haunted unconsciously by the memory of other girls who died tragically at 22. For Ana, her life is a continuation of theirs. Medem plans to use his screenplay as a jumping-off point only.

The cast is an eclectic one – if she signs, Rampling will be acting alongside the likes of Lluis Homar from Bad Education, Downfall’s Matthias Habich, Ash Newman of CryBaby and Raul Pena of Candida. And the dialogue will vary between Spanish, English, French and German and Arabic and Native American languages. Mel Gibson, eat your heart out.

Medem plans to start shooting shortly, taking in Madrid, the Canary Islands, Ibiza, New York and Arizona.
