Because we know that many of you are dying to get the latest updates about the American Girl doll franchise’s progress into the movies, we thought we’d rush you the information that Ann Peacock is the writer who will be bashing out the script for the very first American Doll film.

Julia Roberts’ Red Om Films is producing the pic, which is based on the popular Stateside series of dolls and books with historically accurate characters. The film will revolve around Kit Kittredge, who lives during the early years of America’s Geat Depression.

Peacock’s also got some kid pic experience – she contributed to the script for The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe. We think she wrote the parts with the wardrobe, but we can’t be sure.

Wait - what do you mean you'd rather hear about a Pussycat Dolls film? Savages!
