If you thought Amazon might not have any money left after ploughing so much of it into The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power, you would be wrong! The company has once more splashed the cash for rich rights deal to develop movies, games and TV series set in the Tomb Raider universe, including a show that has Phoebe Waller-Bridge attached to write.

Word on the Waller-Bridge series broke the day before, part of her extended deal with Amazon and Prime Video that sees her continuing to develop shows including a mystery new title, an adaptation of bestseller Sign Here and now the Tomb Raider series, of which she's reportedly a fan.

The aim, according to The Hollywood Reporter, is to create a linked universe of movies, shows and a new game featuring the adventurous Lara Croft. Waller-Bridge, though, is not (yet) directly involved with the movie, nor would she appear in the show.

This all seemingly puts to rest any further speculation on the planned sequel to the 2018 reboot that starred Alicia Vikander and had popped up on news radars but never seemed to concretely come together.
