British actress Alice Eve – who scored in Starter For 10 and will also be seen over here in both She’s Out Of My League and Sex And The City 2 this year, is in contention for the role of Peggy Carter, AKA Captain America’s love interest.
According to E! Online(via The Wrap), Eve is now one of the front-runners for the part of the feisty heroine, alongside fellow Brit Hayley Atwell, with the race heating up as they both scored second screen tests this week.
With the pair now the leading contenders, it appears that Keira Knightley is well and truly out of the running.
So while they could both be pipped at the post for the part (after all, no one expected Chris Evans as Steve Rogers until he suddenly surged to the front), it looks like it’ll be between Eve and Atwell. Who do you prefer?
