Alfred Molina Boards Abduction

Just to make it absolutely clear: Alfred Molina is not a tween-aged girl. But he will be in hot pursuit of Twilight wolf-hunk Taylor Lautner this summer, as he’s signed on to appear with the young star in Abduction.

Deadline reports that he’ll play a CIA agent who makes it his mission to track down a lad who goes on the run after discovering his baby picture on a Missing Child website. Upon learning that he was kidnapped as a nipper, he goes looking for his real parents, and puts his life in danger.

This latest Lionsgate thriller either boasts an amazing script or Lautner has magical powers, because he just keeps attracting solid film types to join the movie. John Singleton is already aboard to direct Shawn Christensen’s screenplay. Though that said, both Singleton and Molina take summer blockbuster jobs from time to time – Molina is in fact in both Jerry Bruckheimer productions arriving this summer (Prince Of Persia and** The Sorcerer’s Apprentice**).

With Lily Collins and Ryan Patrick also starring, Abduction will start filming this July in Pittsburgh, aiming to get its shoot done so Lautner can report to make Breaking Dawn.
