Woody Allen needs to start brushing up on his Kim Jong Il-from-Team-America impersonation, because do you know who he’s locked in to star in his next planned film? That’s right: he’s got Awec Bawwww-win.

The man who has seen his career get a boost playing Jack Donaghy on 30 Rock keeps on slotting in films between his sitcom schedule. Before he jets off to Rome, he’ll play the part of rock club owner Dennis Dupree in the musical pic Rock of Ages.

As for Woody’s new film, very little is known about it for now. Which is exactly the way the director likes it. When he finally talked about making a movie in Rome, all he would say about revealing too much was, “I’m too superstitious to do that at this stage. I’m still at the screenplay stage, and so it would be silly to say more.” Deadline, however, has learned that Allen is looking to cast Jesse Eisenberg in one of the lead roles. Which would make sense, since there are few more ideal Allen substitutes working in cinema right now.

It won’t be the first time that Baldwin has shown up on screen for Allen – the last time the pair worked together was on the comedy Alice back in 1990.
