On the heels of the first poster for the film as revealed by genie-to-be Will Smith, the teaser trailer for Disney's new, live-action version of Aladdin has arrived. Take a look below at a small slice of a whole new world.
Guy Ritchie's film follows many of the same beats – Mena Massoud stars as the titular charming street rat who meets the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine (Naomi Scott) and a Smith's Genie who may be the key to their future. And they'll need his magical assistance, what with the nefarious, powerful sorcerer Jafar (Marwan Kenzari) looking to grab power.
This is a true tease, showing just a brief look at Massoud grabbing the lamp and a few shots of the movie's Arabian setting.
Aladdin will be out in the UK on 24 May.
