Just yesterday, word arrived that Quentin Tarantino had added a raft of new actors to his cast for Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, including Damian Lewis, Dakota Fanning and Luke Perry. He clearly wasn't done making deals, as Al Pacino has now been announced to join them.

Described as a Pulp Fiction-style blend of stories from Los Angeles in the late 1960s, the film follows various characters, but focuses on former Western TV series star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt), men trying to find their way in a Hollywood neither man recognises as the Manson cult stalks and strikes fear into people. Dalton's connection with the Manson murders is his neighbour, Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie).

According to Variety, Pacino will be Marvin Schwarz, agent to Rick Dalton in the story. Tarantino has the cameras cranking now and Sony will release the film next year on 9 August.

This marks his first collaboration with Tarantino, and Pacino is making a habit of first-time jobs, as he's just worked with Martin Scorsese on The Irishman.
