Though Al Pacino has appeared in a number of TV movies and specials in recent years, he hasn't been part of an ongoing series. That's set to change with Amazon's The Hunt, which has him in final talks to star alongside Logan Lerman.

Get Out's Jordan Peele is executive producer for the show, created by David Weil, who will write and produce the idea, loosely based on real-life events. The Hunt follows a diverse band of Nazi Hunters living in 1977 New York City. The've discovered that hundreds of high ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the U.S. The eclectic team of Hunters will set out on a bloody quest to bring the Nazis to justice and thwart their new genocidal plans.

Lerman is on to play Jonah Heidelbaum, who, when his grandmother is slain by a mysterious intruder in their apartment, sets out to track the culprit — only to find himself swept up in the mysterious organization known as The Hunt. Pacino will play the Nazi hunter who mentors him. No details have been offered as to when it might hit the streaming service, but Amazon was excited enough about it to order the 10-episode first season without needing a pilot last May.
