Adewale-Akinnuoye-Agbaje-Suicide-Squad

It’s not often you see someone who has played a Marvel comics character on the big screen heading for DC - hello there, Ryan Reynolds - but Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who was Algrim and Kurse in Thor: The Dark World, is headed to David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, where he’ll play Killer Croc.

And Akinnuoye-Agbaje is not alone in the latest casting announcement, with The Wrap bringing word that Scott Eastwood and Karen Fukuhara will also be part of the supervillain team-up film that Ayer is wrangling together. Eastwood’s role has not been officially revealed but the scoop hounds at Latino Review have heard he’s largely cameoing as Scott Trevor, a potential future love interest for Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman (who does not, as yet, appear to crop up in** Suicide Squad**).

As for Killer Croc, his real name is Waylon Jones, and he joined Batman’s rogue’s gallery in 1983. The reptilian creature is blessed with strength and agility. He joins a line-up that already includes Will Smith as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo and Jared Leto as The Joker.

Ayer is busy putting the pieces together ready to start shooting soon and has an August 5, 2016 release date on the calendar.
