British actor Mark Addy has begun 2001 in a storm of publicity. Not only is the actor, late of The Full Monty, due to appear in the Heath Ledger feature A Knight's Tale, but he's just agreed to star in the new Dreamworks/Warner Bros production of The Time Machine. According to Variety, Addy will play second lead as the best friend of the inventor who will be portrayed by former Neighbours star Guy Pearce. It's a good move for Addy who, with the exception of established star Robert Carlyle, has made the most of the exposure, if you'll forgive the pun, that his role in The Full Monty afforded him.
