Adam Sandler Is Jack And Jill

You only have to watch Punch Drunk Love and Funny People to realise that Adam Sandler is capable of great things. We also have a lot of love for Happy Gilmore. But "great things" seem to be on the back burner for now, and in the meantime, here's Jack and Jill.

Todd Garner (Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Are We There Yet?) is producing, and Saturday Night Live alumnus Steve Koren has written the script, the high concept nugget of comedy gold at the centre of which is that Sandler will play both Jack and his twin sister Jill.

Honestly, doesn't that sound like a film that George Simmons might have made? Are Merman and a film where Sandler has an adult's head on a baby's body next? And can Sandler do as great a job as Michael J Fox in Back to the Future 2? All will no doubt be revealed in due course. Hey, maybe it'll be brilliant. Shooting starts early next year for a 2011 release.
