British cinema is never a dull place when you have directors like Mike Figgis and Peter Greenaway around. Just as Figgis is putting the finishing touches to his latest opus, Hotel, a film with no script, Greenaway has announced the details of an incredibly demanding project. The Tulse Luper Suitcase, described by The Hollywood Reporter as Greenaway's 'passion project', will feature three movies, together with internet and television segments, based around 92 characters each carrying a suitcase containing 92 items. The figure 92 refers to the atomic number of uranium on the periodic table which is the lynchpin of the story which kicks off with the discovery of uranium - ending with the fall of the Berlin Wall. A number of stars have already committed to the project, including Debbie Harry, Victoria Abril and British actors Richard Griffith, Zoe Wanamaker and Hugh Bonneville.
