OK, OK, the name Robert Luketic may not inspire much confidence. It may even inspire the reaction 'Who the f*@k is Robert Luketic?'. But give the the Legally Blonde director a chance, because the trailer for his new movie 21 looks like a it could be a blast. Watch it here and judge for yourself.
The movie, based on a factual book, Bringing Down The House, by Ben Mezrich, comes off as a kind of junior Ocean's 11 in this clip. Young Ben (Jim Sturgess, who, based on seeing him work on set and in Across The Universe, we think is one to watch) has a knack for numbers and catches the eye of Micky Rosa (Kevin Spacey), a man who trains people to count cards at Black Jack, thus making pots of cash. Apparently it's a requirement that, as well as being mathematically gifted, you be young and sexy, since the group also includes the likes of Kate Bosworth.
If the film maintains the zippy spirit of this trailer, then this could be good fun and mark a leap for Luketic into movies that aren't the colour of Pepto Bismol.
