Rocky Legends

What would have happened if Apollo Creed survived the scrap with Drago? What if Clubber Lang had won? Or if Rocky couldn’t fight his way out of a wet paper bag?

Under guidance from MGM, Ubisoft has taken liberties with the original movies and plotted alternative story arcs for the key pugilists, letting players take control of their favourite fighter. Even better, the developers were given permission to re-edit footage from the Rocky movies and create in-game sequences showing Sly’s rivals winning the World Championship, making Legends one of the most authentic movie tie-ins around.

Legends also makes the most of its licence by featuring every boxer from the Rocky flicks, all the venues Balboa battled in, and bonus training levels. But anyone looking for a realistic boxing simulation would be better off sticking with EA’s excellent Fight Night 2004.
