The end of the world is nigh! The giant pasta god has devoured all! Only by placating its infernal hunger can the Onion Kingdom be saved! Surprisingly, not the set up to an oddball JRPG, but rather this couch-based multiplayer cooking game. Players navigate busy, themed kitchens, chopping and cooking ingredients, serving orders, and washing dishes, all to build the skills to save the world via the medium of food.

Equally surprising, it's hugely chaotic fun, although only with a full complement of four players. Anything less, and managing the flow of orders starts to feel like being Gordon Ramsay's commis on a particularly bad day – stressed, angry and about to explode.
