Drew Pearce has been gathering a great cast for his feature directorial debut, a near-future thriller called Hotel Artemis. He's adding Zachary Quinto, a man with no little experience of films set in the future, to the line-up.

Jodie Foster stars in the film, which is set in an underground Los Angeles hospital where the city's most notorious criminals are treated. When Foster's hospital boss checks on her patients one day, she discovers that one of them is actually there to assassinate another. Call John Wick! Actually, don't. That'll just be messier.

Quinto is the newest name on the roster, which already includes Jeff Goldblum, Sterling K. Brown, Jenny Slate, Charlie Day, Dave Bautista and Sofia Boutella. We'll see how much of Pearce's humour slips into the film alongside the required thriller quotient.

After last year's Snowden, Quinto has drama Aardvark (which he also produced) on the way, and has worked on Who We Are Now with Emma Roberts.
