With awards season now all but finished (don't forget the Empire Awards on 19 March, people!), we're heading straight for the runaway train that is the summer season for wannabe blockbusters. The promos never stop, but they're ramping up in the case of movies such as Ghost In The Shell, which has debuted a series of motion posters featuring Scarlett Johansson's Major and some of the other characters.
You can find the rest of the posters on the movie's Twitter feed. The others featured are part of the Section 9 squad led by Johansson, a team of cybernetically-enhanced fighters employed by Hanka Robotics to track down and eliminate threats against the company and its technology. When a hacker known as The Laughing Man starts targeting their work with his particular brand of chaos and murder, they set out to find him... And in the posters, at least, they're either eyeing or pointing weaponry at their potential audience, which seems a tad dangerous to us.
The likes of Pilou Asbaek, Takeshi Kitano, Lasarus Ratuere, Tawanda Manyimo, Yutaka Izumihara, Danusia Samal and Chin Han are all part of the cast alongside Juliette Binoche and Michael Pitt.
Ghost In The Shell is out in the UK on 31 March.
