The release date for Ghost In The Shell is getting closer, and we're reaching the point in the marketing campaign where movies such as this tend to start outlining more of their plot. So be prepared for some spoilers if you watch the latest trailer, lurking below.
The basics are these: The Major (Scarlett Johansson) is a sleek, sophisticated, powerful cyborg enforcer constructed and employed by Hanka Robotics to track down those who would attack the company's technological assets.
Prime among the threats is a mysterious hacker known as The Laughing Man, who has been upping his game in terms of killing and spreading mayhem, so he's top of The Major's hit list, leading her team (Section 9) to track him down. But all might not quite be as it appears, and our hero could have some revelations in her future, specifically about her past...
With the likes of Pilou Asbæk, Juliette Binoche, Michael Pitt and Takeshi Kitano in the cast, Ghost In The Shell will interface with cinemas on 31 March.
