With Legion now off and running on TV, Fox has turned its attention to building the next X-Men spin-off, a still-untitled mutant action-adventure series that has Bryan Singer directing the pilot. The latest piece of casting has been announced, as Jamie Chung will play Blink.

Creator/executive producer Matt Nix's concept focuses on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. Already in the cast is Blair Redford, who will play Sam, the stubborn leader of the network.

Blink – who was played by Fan Bingbing in Days Of Future Past – will see her backstory expanded here. Her upbeat nature takes a hit when her life is thrown into chaos after her teleportation powers manifest. She's forced to adjust to a new "family" and different places in her life.

Chung is no stranger to superheroes; she voiced Go Go Tomago for Big Hero 6, and will continue the job for the spin-off TV series. She's also recently played Valerie Vale on Gotham.
