Did we mention that Steven Spielberg is guest-editing Empire's 20th birthday issue? Well, he is - and the boss-man also invited us on set of his latest film, The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn to see what's going on with his new motion-capture spectacular.

This shot was taken during a few moments of down time on the set, and shows Tintin himself (Jamie Bell) and Captain Haddock (Andy Serkis) talking with Spielberg. You'll have to check out the issue itself for more on the film, including more pictures, and more on the cast involved (notably Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as Thompson and Thomson).

Steven Moffat, Joe Cornish and Edgar Wright wrote the screenplay, based on Hergé's massively popular books. The film's not due out until 2011, by which time CGI magic will have replaced those dots and greenscreens with pure awesomeness.

For more on the film, lots more from Spielberg and interviews and shoots with names so big we can't print them here for fear of completely blowing your mind, pick up the 20th birthday issue of Empire when it hits newsstands next Thursday - or you can pre-order your copy here.
