Will Smith Drama Gains Some Weight

Rosario Dawson and Woody Harrelson are all set to add even more gravitas to Will Smith’s upcoming drama Seven Pounds.

About as far removed as you can possibly get from the Fresh Prince’s wicky-wicky-Wild West persona, Smith reteams with The Pursuit Of Happyness’ helmer Gabriele Muccino to tell the heavy tale of a guilt-ridden (for what we don’t know) man who falls in love while intending to top himself in a run-down motel.

Dawson is all set to play the love interest, a woman who suffers from a congenital heart condition, and Harrelson is the motel worker who strikes up a friendship with his suicidal new tenant.

It’s got ‘For Your Consideration’ stamped all over it with all the award criteria boxes ticked, so expect something worthy and very probably worth watching out for when Seven Pounds gets released in late 2008.
