In 2013, Michael Shannon is set to appear as General Zod in Zack Snyder's Superman movie, Man Of Steel, but after speaking to him recently about another film, Take Shelter, Shannon mentioned that his Zod might not demand Supes to get down on his knees – traditionally Zod's favourite thing to do.

We've got the video clip for you below to see for yourself, but it's interesting for a number of reasons, especially as it means things are obviously still up in the air about Zod's character (and general demeanour), and it seems that Snyder and his team are considering distancing themselves from Terence Stamp's iconic portrayal of the character in Superman and Superman II.

So do you want the gravel-voiced acting goliath that is Michael Shannon to request The Last Son Of Krypton to get on his knees or is that a bit too silly for this new take on Supes? Let us know in the comment box below.

**Man Of Steel **is set for a June 14, 2013 release.
