Though one or two of the big movie adverts featured during this year’s Super Bowl (go sports egg teams!) were teased or went up in full before the event – likeWorld War Z – some have waited for the day itself. Take the Star Trek Into Darkness spo****t, which is now online below via Apple.

While there is a still a lot of footage we’ve seen featured in other trailers, the new spot has a few cool shots- check out a badly damaged Enterprise falling towards a planet and Kirk and Spock confronting Benedict Cumberbatch’s villain about his claim that he’s better – about “everything”, apparently. Boastful!

But it really just continues the apocalyptic theme and feel we’ve gotten from the trailers... They’re not kidding with the whole “Darkness” aspect...

With Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Alice Eve, Peter Weller, Bruce Greenwood, Nazneen Contractor and Noel Clarke among the cast, Star Trek Into Darkness lands in UK cinemas on May 17. Keen-eyed US viewers using the film's new App, meanwhile, have learned it'll launch Stateside on May 15 at 8:00pm...
