As though foretold by the pre-quake tremors of the initial imagery yesterday, the full teaser trailer for San Andreas has now arrived online. Find somewhere safe to watch and point your eyes below.
Dwayne Johnson anchors this one as Ray, a talented rescue pilot who has just packed daughter Blake (Alexandra Daddario) off to San Francisco when the Big One, the mother (nature) of all earthquakes hits California and, if Paul Giamatti’s expert is to be believed, will be felt all across the US of A.
With the ground heaving apart, buildings shaking and the Golden Gate bridge probably rolling its eyes and tutting, “not this shit again”, Ray must team up with his ex-wife Emma (Johnson’s Race To Witch Mountain co-star Carla Gugino) and try to find a way to track down their daughter. But the situation may be even worse than he suspects. What, has his favourite gym been reduced to rubble in the madness?
With Brad Peyton going full Roland Emmerich this time, expect chaos, shouting and lots of CG-fuelled destruction. San Andreas will be out here on May 29. If you’ll excuse him, our Man In LA (hello!) will now retreat to somewhere safe. Possibly Narnia.
