As if he hasn’t had enough exposure already by appearing on two Empire covers and a previous promo image ahead of the release of Thor: The Dark World, now Tom Hiddleston’s Loki is back for yet another shot of his very own, which you can see below. It looks for all the world like he’s sneaking up on Thor, ready to do something terrible with that knife. Unless, that is, the post has just arrived and he just wants to open his latest issue of Sneaky Fiends Monthly.

Interestingly, since this is a poster aimed at the German market, the title is Thor: The Dark Kingdom, which works almost as well as The Dark World. We’d be intrigued to know why it’s "Kingdom" in Germany – a clash with some other property that features the title? Something to do with the translation?

Tom Hiddleston spoke to The Huffington Post about the additional shooting for the sequel. “The thing about Kevin Feige is he's very, very open and collaborative. And he and Louis D'Esposito, who run the studio - I find it very admirable that they're open to ideas. Chris Hemsworth and myself have lived inside these characters for two movies now and we've been inside every scene and we know what works and we know what doesn't works. And also, we know what we've done and what we shouldn't try to repeat.

“Because that was the great sort of fire underneath myself was not wanting to take anything for granted or just put the old recipe in the microwave, you know? And try and find new things for the characters to do - new iterations of the relationship between Thor and Loki. And Kevin was really open to that. I remember as we were conceiving of the shape of the film, Kevin and director Alan Taylor were really open to it, especially because they always talk about the connective aspect of the Marvel universal.” {Thor: The Dark World Empire Covers}

Naturally, you can read all about the darkness – Kingdom, World or otherwise – in the latest issue of Empire. Thor: The Dark World arrives in the UK on October 30 and the US on November 8. Check out our trailer breakdown here and teaser breakdown here.
