We’re only a few scant weeks away from the release of Ridley Scott’s latest, crime thriller The Counsellor. As if we hadn’t been avalanched with pictures already, some new stills are online and squatting in the gallery lower down this page. Also new is a featurette with Scott and co talking about the film.
Written by Cormac McCarthy, The Counsellor finds Fassbender as a slick lawyer who figures he can dangle his toes in the drug money game just long enough to strike it rich without getting bitten by any of the sharks that swim in that particular polluted pool.
As you can tell from the promos so far – or as common sense might tell you – he’s very wrong on that front and is soon dealing with more trouble than he can handle. Part of that trouble is the nefarious Reiner (Bardem), who sports the sort of hair that would make Edward Scissorhands tell him to cut down on the product. Then there’s his girlfriend, Malkina (Diaz) who apparently likes to have sex with car windshields. Yes, really. Optimus Prime will be buying a ticket for this one on the first day.
With Penelope Cruz, Brad Pitt, Dean Norris, John Leguizamo and Rosie Perez among the cast, **The Counsellor **hits UK screens on November 15.
