This year's Jameson Empire Awards are coming up on March 29, so it's finally time to reveal who the nominees are, following the voting process by all of you readers. The big nominees are The Dark Knight and Quantum of Solace, each with four nominations, closely followed by Iron Man and **Wall-E **with three.

The awards this year will be hosted by comedian Dara O Briain, and should see another glitzy, glamorous and very funny evening. And the eclectic line-up of nominees shows the wide tastes of Empire readers: the Best Picture nominees, for example, are The Dark Knight, Wall-E, No Country For Old Men, There Will Be Blood and Iron** Man**. The line-up for Best Director is similar, except that Iron Man lost out to Tim Burton and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. A special award is also to be awarded to Heath Ledger to commemorate his remarkable but all-too-brief career and in recognition of his great turn in The Dark Knight.

**Empire **Editor Mark Dinning said "Now in their 14th year, our Awards continue to go from strength to strength. With tens of thousands of readers having voted, these nominations, unlike those of other awards shows, truly reflect the power and diversity of cinema. Representing an amazing year for film, these nominations - incorporating everything from blockbuster action movies to thought-provoking dramas - mark the Jameson Empire Awards out as the true barometer of movie taste, with movies like Wall-E and The Dark Knight finally getting the credit to match their monumental box office success."
