It seems that 20th Century Fox may be getting past the "girls smell" phase and beginning to have an interest in the opposite sex. Yes, they've optioned How To Talk To Girls, a dating book written by a 8 year-old.

Yes, you read that bit right. Alec Greven started writing the book as a class assignment in third grade when he was 8. It was sold as a pamphlet around the school, and picked up by first local news and then Ellen DeGeneres, while HarperCollins offered him a book deal for four planned volumes. The book is full of good advice like, "Sometimes, you get a girl to like you, then she ditches you. Life is hard, move on!" Bridget Jones, eat your heart out.

There is no writer or director attached as yet, and meanwhile Alec is apparently still single, ladies. That said, he doesn't plan on dating seriously until at least middle school, so cool those jets for now.
