You might have read our Daredevil set visit in the latest Empire, which features a prominent picture of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk, AKA The Kingpin. At least, it has the back of his head: Fisk is a sneaky one, despite his size. Now Marvel has released the first clear look at the man that Charlie Cox’s Man Without Fear will have to contend with in the new Netflix series. Fisk, as in the comics, is a businessman on a mission. And while that might be to clean up the broken, corrupt and crime-ridden streets of New York’s Hell’s Kitchen, how he goes about it is what brings him into contact, and conflict, with our blind superhero. A savvy, smart operator who rules the local organised crime with an iron fist, he’s also likely to manipulate opinion and will sometimes come across even better than our vigilante hero.

Approached as more of a crime drama than a superhero show, albeit one set firmly in the Marvel universe, Daredevil arrives on Netflix in one first-season gulp on April 10. For more about the series, pick up the current **Empire and also click here.
