David Morrissey gave Empire the lowdown on his experiences filming Centurion at the premiere of his new film Is Anybody There last night.

Apparently it's a fast-paced epic: “It’s all about the Roman legion in England, so that's why I have a crew cut! It’s all action sequences: all I do is run around, fighting, and riding horses! My character is one of a team of seven who are trying to escape and the Scottish Picts are after us. My character is basically Michael Fassbender's right-hand man really and that was a great job to do, very phsyically draining but I loved every minute of it. I love working with Michael Fassbender, he's a great actor and someone we'll be hearing a lot of in the future, I think he's going to be a huge star so it was wonderful to work with him.”

High praise indeed! Centurion - which is due in cinemas later this year - also stars Dominic West, Olga Kurylenko and Noel Clarke, and is directed by Neil Marshall.
