As it's Friday, it's entirely possible that many of you will be heading to see football played tomorrow, so just for you here's a world exclusive look at the poster and trailer for Awaydays, the adaptation of Kevin Sampson's acclaimed novel.

The story follows Paul, akaCarty (Nicky Bell), a middle class 19 year-old in 1979 Birkenhead who is bored out of his mind with his life. He gets involved with a gang of football hooligans called The Pack, and in particular Elvis (Liam Boyle) who seems to offer him a way in - but may resent his presence.

The film's directed by Pat Holden (The Long Weekend) and the screenplay was adapted by Kevin Sampson from his own novel. It's out on May 22, so check back for further updates closer to release.
