Saxondale: The Complete Series 2 Review

Steve Coogan’s pretentious roadie-turned-pest-control supervisor Tommy Saxondale gets a second season, and while the laughs are still underplayed enough to be missed entirely, the plots have sharpened up. Tommy tries to save the world’s most unlovable suicidal man (Kevin Eldon) and fight for squatters’ rights, with strong support as ever from Morwenna Banks and Gavin & Stacey’s Ruth Jones. While this is fun in parts, there’s an odd, lingering feeling that none of the cast are really enjoying themselves.
