Decked out like a polite schoolmaster, Bentine interacts with hairy puppets and their high-pitched sidekicks in skewed takes on classic adventures (Treasure Island, Robin Hood) or boys own heroes (French Foreign Legion, 7th Cavalry). Its low-tech compared to todays kids TV, but theres something dottily British about it that doesnt fade.
