Gettysburg Review

Ridley and Tony Scott, who between them have mounted battles on land, in cloud and the ocean deep, unite as exec producers of this Civil War doc. Production values are high, with snazzy CG maps and legions of grim-browed actors pretending to kill each other. But it’s all very overheated, and nowhere near as detailed as Ken Burns’ seminal PBS ten-parter.
