Comedy and horror can often be comfortable bedfellows provided you blend the genres properly. New combo Slice looks like it could be a lot of fun, at least based on the first trailer.
Starring musician Chance The Rapper making his full acting debut and Deadpool 2's Zazie Beetz, Slice follows what happens when death and suspicion stalk a small town. Pizza delivery boys are being murdered, and there'a a chance that the Perfect Pizza restaurant itself might be partly to blame. You know, because it's built on a gateway to hell.
With werewolves and other spooky stuff in the mix, the hunt is on to stop the killer and stay alive... With Austin Vesely switching from directing Chance's music videos to making his film writing/directing, the movie also features Paul Scheer, Rae Gray and Stranger Things' Joe Keery, who you'd think would be used to this sort of thing. There's no announced date for this one on either side of the pond, but hopefully that will change soon.
