Mon RoiMy King for those who need the translation - is the new romantic drama from writer/director/actress Maïwenn. With Vincent Cassel and Emmanuelle Bercot as our central pair sparring, loving, spurning and fighting, the film has a new trailer online.

Maïwenn's latest finds Bercot's Marie-Antoinette (Tony for short), recuperating from a serious skiing accident. Blissed out on painkillers and reliant on the staff, she starts to remember the tumultuous love story she lived with Georgio (Cassel).

And so we learn how they first got together, what their love affair and eventual marriage meant to them and for Tony, how she could let herself submit to this suffocating and destructive passion? As she processes the past, she begins the healing process that will allow her a future...

Written by the director and Etienne Comar, Mon Roi was nominated for a slew of awards, and Bercot won the Best Actress trophy at last year's Cannes Film Festival. The film will be out in the UK on May 27.
