After making her debut, and marrying Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt in Mission Impossible III, Michelle Monaghan's Julia Meade made a brief appearance at the end of Ghost Protocol but sat out Rogue Nation. Now, for the sixth instalment, she'll be back with hopefully more of a role.

Writer/director Christopher McQuarrie and Cruise have been hard at work on the new film, currently known as M:I-6. While the plot has yet to be revealed (we tried breaking into the storage facility, but our rope snapped), it'll see Hunt back in action alongside Rebecca Ferguson's Ilsa Faust, Simon Pegg's Benji Dunn, Ving Rhames' Luther Stickell and Alec Baldwin's Alan Hunley. New faces this time include Henry Cavill, Sian Brooke, Angela Bassett and Vanessa Kirby, with Sean Harris returning as villain Solomon Lane, this time securely (for how long?) imprisoned by the heroes.

Monaghan shared the news of her return on twitter, while McQuarrie posted the same image to Instagram.

Expect Cruise to once more be pushing the stunt boundaries and making the producers and insurance agents sweat. M:I-6 is scheduled to arrive on 27 July next year.
