Team Empire's appreciation for tough guy Scott Adkins is well documented, most recently thanks to his turn one of Kaecilius' fellow zealots in Doctor Strange. Now he's stepping up to star in the adaptation of Pat Mills' comic book series Accident Man.

Adkins, who also co-wrote the film with Stu Small, is on to play hitman Mike Fallon, who got his professional alias because he's known for making assassinations look like accidents. But when his ex-girlfriend Beth is murdered by his own crew, Mike's outlook changes quickly.

With Jesse Johnson in the director's chair and getting ready to start shooting soon, the cast also includes Ray Stevenson, Ashley Greene, David Paymer, Michael Jai White and Ray Park. So you know it's going to be action packed. As for Adkins' own future, he'll be seen in American Assassin, which hasn't yet announced a release date.
