When he's not busy advising dragon queens or quaffing mead, Peter Dinklage is apparently investigating future-crimes. With Game Of Thrones' seventh season nearly at a close, the once and future Tyrion Lannister has landed a lead role in a new sci-fi thriller entitled Rememory, and the first trailer has emerged online. Take a look below.

Part Minority Report, part Memento, Rememory sees Dinklage play Sam Bloom, a private detective hired to investigate the murder of a man who invented a memory-recording device.

Naturally, such a device proves useful in a murder investigation – but the side effects of such a machine take their toll on Dinklage, and all, as is so often the way with these things, is not what it seems.

Starring alongside Dinklage is Julia Ormond, Martin Donovan, and the late Anton Yelchin, in one of the final roles for the Star Trek actor, filmed shortly before his tragic death last year aged 27.

Directed by Mark Palansky, from a script by Palansky and Michael Vukadinovich, Rememory is due to land on Google Play (another streaming service hoping to rival Netflix) in the US from 24 August.
