We know Olivia Wilde can kick ass on screen when she wants to. And she's going to get the chance to do it again, for a noble cause, in Sarah Daggar Nickson's A Vigilante.
The director, who also wrote the script, is planning the story of The Woman, a secretive figure who helps victims of domestic abuse. And not by running a shelter or helping them move – by quietly getting rid of their attackers.
Wilde was sold on the script, Tweeting that "it blew my f*****g mind", which bodes well for the drama that is to unspool. Nickson should be starting to shoot this coming February, backed by Emmett/Furla/Oasis.
Next up from Wilde is indie pic _Black Dog, Red Do_g, which adapts Stephen Dobyns’ book focusing on his life from the 1950’s to 1980’s and switching from journalism to poetry. It'll be made up of several short films directed by students taught by James Franco. We're not sure it'll make it over here, but you never know.
