Comic-Con 2017: Legion’s Noah Hawley Working On A Doctor Doom Movie

Doctor Doom

Fargo creator Noah Hawley has already made a name for himself in the X-Men universe thanks to the visual weirdness and plot surreality of Legion. Now he's taking a stab at the mutant movie universe, revealing at the panel for the Marvel/FX series that he has designs on Doctor Doom.

While he only dropped the character's at the panel, and wouldn't – let's be honest here, contractually couldn't – reveal anything more, it's certainly a tantalising proposal. Victor Von Doom, one of Marvel's most famous villains has, it's fair to say, not exactly been served well by the Fantastic Four movies so far. The first two films saw him played by Julian McMahon and the less said about the 2015 offering the better, despite the efforts of Toby Kebbell.

Hawley has shown a real talent for finding new avenues to explore in existing concepts, so we're keeping our fingers crossed that he'll be able to rescue the good (sorry, bad) Doctor from ignominy.

Legion's second season will be with us next year.
