With the superhero-beating success of The Boss to bolster them, Melissa McCarthy and her husband and filmmaking partner Ben Falcone are already scheming their next success. They'll write and produce the comedy Life Of The Party, with McCarthy starring and Falcone directing.

The pair have set the project up at New Line, making it more-or-less the same set-up as 2014's Tammy. The plot details haven't been revealed so far, but THR's sources say it's a broad comedy somewhere along the lines of Rodney Dangerfield's '80s classic Back To School. You can see how that might work.

We don't get The Boss here in the UK until June 10, so we're in for something of a McCarthy summer: Ghostbusters arrives a month later on July 15.
