As much as she might want out of the endless war between her vampire race and the werewolf-y Lycans, it just seems as though Kate Beckinsale's Selene is not destined for peace and quiet. She's dragged back to the centre of the conflict in the new Underworld: Blood Wars trailer.
Blood Wars' plot finds Selene battling not only a resurgent Lycan clan (led by the powerful Marius, played by Tobias Menzies but also the vampire faction that betrayed her. And this time around, both the hairy enemies and her own side are after Selene's blood – literally: it appears to possess some special, pure powers.
Of course, she's not all that thrilled with the idea of either side (including Charles Dance's vampire leader) taking her life blood, especially when she now seems to be able to channel some new superpowers. With Anna Foerster directing, the latest Underworld will be out on 3 February next year.
