While we continue to puzzle over the change in title from the States, where the movie is subtitled, Dead Men Tell No Tales, Pirates Of The Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge is reminding us all of its UK name with new character posters. Take a look below.
Salazar's Revenge refers to Captain Salazar, as brought to life – initially at least – by Javier Bardem. Once a feared sailor bent on wiping all pirates from the high seas, he comes a cropper during an encounter with a young Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp, back on duty as ever).
But this being the Pirates franchise, that isn't the end of his story, and of course he's back as a supernatural sailor, dripping with fury and revenge. Jack, down on his luck as usual, must find the legendary Trident of Poseidon and will need the help of headstrong young sailor Henry (Brenton Thwaites) and smart, daring astronomer Carina (Kaya Scodelario). We're promised the usual spectacle (zombie sharks!), this time wrangled by Kon-Tiki duo Joachim Rønning & Espen Sandberg.
The new film will arrive in UK cinemas on 26 May.
