Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them is now close enough to release that you can almost feel the magic in the air. To introduce you properly to the various people that make up this corner of JK Rowling's wizarding world, there is a set of new character posters. Take a look at Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) and co. lower down the page.

The story here finds Magizoologist Newt arriving in 1920s New York, his suitcase packed full of strange creatures. That's a recipe for potential chaos, and he isn't helped by the fact that America's Muggles, the No-Maj, aren't exactly trusting when it comes to witches and wizards, with the fires of suspicion stirred by dark forces, represented here by Colin Farrell's investigator, Percival Graves. Who seems to know more about Newt that one might suspect, given the mention of a certain Albus Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beasts trailer launched during this summer's Comic-Con.

Among the people he meets – a mixture of friends and potential foes – are Tina Goldstein (Katherine Waterston), a smart, determined witch who works for MACUSA ((Magical Congress of the United States of America, run by Carmen Ejogo's Seraphina Picquery), her sister Queenie (Alison Sudol), a fellow employee of MACUSA, Dan Fogler's slightly bumbling No-Maj Jacob Kowalski, Mary Lou Barebone (Samantha Morton), who is determined to stamp out all magic and Credence Barebone (Ezra Miller,) Mary Lou's adopted son.
