While Greg Berlanti is normally found marshaling superheroes as the big boss producer of the various DC Comics TV series, he found time to direct something a little less full of fights and powers, making big screen pic Love, Simon, which arrives next year. The first teaser is now online.

Adapted by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger from Becky Albertalli's bestseller Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda, the film introduces us to 17-year-old Simon Spier (Jurassic World's Nick Robinson), who, like many teenagers, is searching for his place in life. For Simon, things are a tad more complicated as he hasn't told anyone he's gay and he still doesn't know the identity of the anonymous classmate he's fallen for online.

His journey to find what he's looking for promises to be a touching and nuanced coming-of-age story about love, fear and life. With Jennifer Garner, Josh Duhamel, Alexandra Shipp and Keiynan Lonsdale also in the cast, Love, Simon lands in the UK on 16 March.
