As he prepares to make his return to cinema after what appears to have been more of a hiatus than a retirement, Steven Soderbergh is gathering quite the cast for Logan Lucky. He has Hilary Swank and Katherine Waterston joining the ensemble.

Soderbergh already has Daniel Craig, Channing Tatum, Katherine Heigl, Adam Driver Seth MacFarlane in the cast for the film, which follows brothers planning to pull of a heist under cover of the noise and chaos of a NASCAR race. And with Swank's casting comes word on her role: she'll be an FBI agent chasing down the criminals. The Hollywood Reporter brings the news about Swank, while the news about Waterston's casting was first reported by The Playlist, which hasn't heard how she'll fit into the plot.

Soderbergh is now putting the pieces in place to make the film this autumn for a planned 2017 release. Swank is working on drama 55 Steps and has a voice role in animated adventure Spark. Waterston is in Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them and is currently shooting Alien: Covenant.
