First Teaser Trailer For Pixar's Coco
For those who like to snark that Pixar has fallen into a rut of sequels lately, with several on the horizon, here comes proof that new movies are still very much on the team's agenda. The first teaser for Lee Unkrich's latest, Coco, is now online.
Co-directed and written by Adrian Molina, Coco is the story of young Mexican lad Miguel (Antony Gonzalez), who wants to be a music legend like his hero, Ernesto de la Cruz (Benjamin Bratt). But there's a problem: music has been banned in Miguel's family for years, but no one will quite tell him why.
Yet when our hero (accompanied by loyal pooch Dante) accidentally finds a way into the Land of the Dead, he teams up with a trickster named Hector (Gael Garcia Bernal) and sets out to discover the truth.
If we have any concern about this one, it's the similarities to 2014's The Book Of Life, but it's best never to underestimate Pixar, especially when one of its leading lights is behind the camera.
Coco, which also features Renee Victor on voice duties, will be out in the States on 22 November before making its way here on 8 December.
